I know that becoming healthy and fit can sometimes seem like a daunting task. But I’ll let you in on a little secrete. It’s much simpler than any fitness magazine or fad diet book might have you believe. Beyond nutrition and exercise, there are 3 things you need to achieve any fitness or life goal. Those are commitment, engagement, and patience.

We tend to think of losing weight or gaining muscle as a daunting challenge. We focus on the quick fixes, the extreme diets, the hour+ long cardio routines. But that’s not sustainable! Of course we struggle! Of course we fail! Any lasting changes in our physical bodies will only come creating a a mindset and habits that support them. That means adopting a healthy and fit lifestyle.

Growing up I was an overweight athletic girl from the East Coast, living on pizza, pasta, rice, and beans. My life revolved around physical activity and food. I wanted to get to slim, but I couldn’t reach the goals I had for myself. Why? Because I didn’t have the right information. I’ve been a been a personal trainer for 5 years now. I’ve finally reached my weight loss and strength goals. It was a long process of trial and error. If there’s one thing I’ve taken to heart it’s that living that fit life one big learning Process. If you can think of it like that, then with small, but consistent effort, you can create the changes that you want in your life. Most of us don’t get it right the first time. I didn’t! But eventually, if you keep trying, you’ll get there.

Making your health and fitness a priority means exposing yourself to the world of health and fitness on a daily basis. Through things that you read, the people you follow on social media, and the activities that you participate in. In effect, we slowly ease our way into a healthy and fit lifestyle. And before we know it, we’re there, living That Fit Life!

I’m hoping that your joining this community is your declaration to yourself that you’re ready to put the effort in. That from today moving forward, you’re ready to create the healthy and fit life that you’ve always dreamed of 🙂
